Vacancy: Team Leader
Contract: Permanent Full Time

Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Salary: £23,381 - £25,587 per annum depending on experience

Location: Bow, London

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Coxley House team, a CQC registered care scheme providing accommodation and 24-hour support to individuals who have high level mental health needs.

As the Team Leader you will assist the Scheme Manager with the operational delivery of the CQC registered service and will be responsible for:

·       Supervising and motivating a team of support workers and peer recovery workers to provide support services for individuals living in the service

·       Undertaking risk assessments, developing individual support plans, and liaising with care coordinators and attending reviews

·       Assisting the Scheme Manager with carrying out assessments for supported housing, monthly audits (internal and external), writing of reports and deputising in their absence

·       Supporting new staff through the induction process, and conducting direct observations as part of the Care Certificate

·       Providing unsupervised person-centred support for both male and female service users

·       Maintaining up to date computerised and manual records and preparing the scheme for CQC inspections

To be successful in the role you will have:

·       Experience of working with individuals with Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour within CQC registered care home environment

·       Experience of supervising and motivating a team of support staff and developing their skills and knowledge

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging people with mental health diagnosis in positive activities, whether at their home or within the community

·       Working knowledge of safeguarding procedures (including Local Authority involvement and notifications) and adhering to health and safety practices (including Infection Control
       procedures with COVID 19)

·       Confidence and knowledge to be able to liaise with professionals, both internally and externally to ensure the wellbeing of individuals, the service and the business

·       Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and relevant management qualifications or working towards

As a requirement of the role you will be working on a rota basis including weekends, early mornings, afternoon shifts and sleep-ins.
