We are looking for an exceptional individual to help us create places where people want to live. The successful post holder will be part of a team delivering our regeneration strategy on the redevelopment of the South Acton estate which is being carried out by Acton Gardens LLP, a joint venture between L&Q and Countryside Properties.
The post holder will work with a wide range of internal and external partners and stakeholders throughout the planning and on-site process. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships, community engagement and delivering a programme of consultation events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the Community Chest, a funding pot for local projects and supporting residents to oversee the regeneration of South Acton. The role will involve representing L&Q and Acton Gardens at tenant and homeowner meetings and events, which will involve some evening meetings and weekend work.
You’ll need to have experience of project management, communications and resident engagement. A background in housing or regeneration will be an advantage. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to positively influence key decision makers.
A typical day could involve community event planning and/or delivery, drafting of the quarterly newsletter, updating the website, producing email campaigns, calls / queries from residents demonstrating the highest customer service standards, updating our CRM system to record all customer contacts, solving problems, facilitating the Community Board meetings (including booking rooms, taking minutes, devising packs/reports, organising refreshments), facilitating the Community Chest sub-group meetings to consider any funding applications received, project managing a variety of initiatives and processing pre-allocations following nominations received from the local authority, including supporting customers who are permanently decanted from their existing home to a new L&Q home to enable the continued regeneration of Acton Gardens.
